The pin on the hinged creole snaps into a small hole directly in the item of jewellery. The pin’s position may change over time so that it no longer locks and clicks into place. We’d then recommend that you press your fingernail lightly against the pin – as shown in the image – and readjust its position in this way.
The pin on the creole with little wings snaps into place between two little ‘wings’. Their distance may increase with frequent use so that they are no longer able to hold the pin. You can – as shown in the image – lightly press the wings together with your thumb and forefinger and thus re-establish the tension, which then allows the pin to snap back into place.
